Kakhee
Kakhee -
One flash of black and blue
Flew
Are you real?
You steal
My bangles
And make my nerves
Jangle.
My silverware’s gone -
Was it you all along,
Kakhee?

I love “you steal my bangles and jangle my nerves.” Excellent!
I really enjoyed this Nicole. It reminds me of a time last year when I stole about 6.00 in change from my friend’s change jar.I was going to replace it, but he noticed before I could. He thought it was his roommate. He left a note in the jar saying “Please don’t steal from me”. I felt so bad. I had some 23k gold leaf powder that I was working with and fessed up. I gave him a small baggy full. He appreciated the honesty, and all was forgiven.I really enjoy poems and stories that bring back memories for me, as yours did. Good Work, and Happy Monday !!!
Very ncie poem, I liked the last “Was it you all along”. It represents reflection to the past. A lovely read.
This is great – a serious issue but a playful rhythm – and it works so good together.
