Mimi

Mimi
Songbird
Where do you fly to now?
Out of your golden cage
And onto your stage.
A queen in all your bling bling,
Fly far away from “Sing Sing”,
And fly away home
To a room of your own.

Just found your site. Good stuff! You’re onto something with birds, believe me. They do amaze. And prompted me to write “warbling songbirds”, as well as other poetry.

Thanks dropping by my site and for the comment/compliment. I agree – I think the imagination of humankind has been fascinated with birds since the beginning, hence stuff like the Icarus myth. We’re lucky enough to have a regular batch of cardinals which nest near our house every year. Watching them is just amazing.

You say you write poetry…I’d love to see it sometime.
