My size
And my eyes
Betray me,
Give me away,
Shout a message of power
On the path before me
For all to see,
When sometimes I’d rather
Crawl up and disappear.
I don’t notice
Folks noticing
Me -
But who am I kidding?
My plus-sized brown body
And black eyes
Will always make sure
That I can’t hide.
