Tragedy
A man, a deer in headlights. Knives
Caught him before his year had ended:
A mother’s hopes and dreams suspended.
Behind him, a shattered girl survives,
Seeking a serene dream that’s mended.
A man, a deer in headlights. Knives
Vibrate the nervous in campus lives.
They wait now for a summer splendid,
When aftermaths and tears have ended.
A man, a deer in headlights – knives.
