Thanks for the visit and the comment. Of course with freedom...comes a whole other set of challenges and issues. But I still prefer it to what I went through.

Hello Lirone:

Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment. Honestly, when I looked at the way the words were streamed together on PWB, the rest started to kind of fall out of the sky.

Welcome. Please feel free to stop by again.

I like the way you weave the 10 words seamlessly into the poem - and the ending is brilliant!

I think finding a way to express the anger positively through some sort of creative expression, rather than through more destructive channels, is a vital part of the path that leads to a full-hearted forgiveness. Not that I've been through anything as intense as what you're describing here, but I think it's generally so much more positive.

Good to see you join PWB - look forward to reading more of your poems!

Thank you, and thank you for stopping by. I think we go through stages from initial hurt, to anger (which was where this was written from) to realization to forgiveness.

Please feel free to come again soon.

And I still remember how I used to flutter inside
When I saw your hand raised, reared back, and
Ready to hit me again.

That part was so intense. I felt my heart clutch reading that.

Thanks for taking part in our project at PWB.
