When I Watch You

This was written for the new Read Write Poem Prompt this week – to write a poem using “when I watch you”, the first line of Lucille Clifton’s poem, “miss rosie”. I shut my eyes as the prompt instructed…and I ended up getting inside the head of Graham Dalton from the film “Sex, Lies, and Videotape”. Enjoy.

“Arizona” by ~brittfaye

I wrote a second poem for this last week’s Read Write Poem Prompt (which was to take a poem in one form and rewrite it in another form). I took “Arizona, Remembered”, originally written as three stanzas of rhyme royal, and turned it into a Hay(na)ku chain. Enjoy.
