Universe

I wrap myself in the blanket
of verbal confrontations
streamed in electrical data pulses
on parallel fiber optic highways

fiber optic bright burning data lights
on a blue-black background blanket
words exploding and shooting
like stars

I grab them in my hands
to examine them for later use
to line up side by side with other stars
to form a galaxy of debate
swirling in the human cosmos

I may crash and burn
but I’ve enjoy the ride
as I learn
what the universe of human thought
is made of

this has a great flow. love the phrase “universe of human thought” and i think the second stanza is exquisite.

  2. Thank you. I have always thought of human thought as a vast universe – I know I will never be able to explore all of it in this lifetime. But I’ll try to explore as much as I can.
