somewhere between nowhere and goodbye, their love lies in stasis,
inhabiting a transparent tunnel of final glances -
a train whistle seals the ends and this moment into memory

I am unfamiliar with this form of poetry, but I am intrigued as you make it flow so well. Wonderful use of the prompt!
Thank you, everybody! I’ve said plenty of goodbyes in my own life – some like this and some laced with hatred and vitriol. This, I hope, was one of the more bittersweet ones.
