the
season of
birth and possibility
within
her body
has passed on
but
she is
far from dead
only
succumbing to
the stillness of
inner
snow-covered
forests and fields
the
quiet of
sparkling solstice solitude
and
springtime’s rise
within her mind
for
the season
of new birth
has
just moved
northward within her
not
disappeared forever –
wisdom now blooms

Though birth and possibility have moved on I want to assume her new found wisdom will open new horizons. Nice job. Have a nice day.
makes me think of beginnings of a new winter season, where even new life can rise from the cold, I like the part – succumbing to the stillness of inner snow-covered forests and fields – not settling but letting time carry life to another beginning, at least that’s how I read it
That the “season” has “just moved northward” is wonderful. This is a strong piece.
I thought of the same, but to do it in this form, is true poetry….and skill beautifully done.
