Following the Purple Brick Road….

I am glad for the many supporters and regular readers of this blog. Your comments always encourage me and inspire me to keep going and keep writing.

With that being said, I’ve decided to follow my muse down the purple brick road for a while. Writing for the prompts has been fun, inspiring, and educational…but my muse, he is calling – no, SCREAMING – into my ears, and I feel the need to answer and follow him for awhile. Which requires more time…to think, dream, figure out where the purple brick road is going, etc, etc. And I’d like to generate more material for a possible spoken word CD (I’m thinking 2009 or 2010), as well as publications both print and online.

So, until the end of the year, I’ll only be writing for Read Write Poem prompts. Good luck, Happy Christmas/Ramadan/Kwanzaa/Hanukah/Solstice/etc to all….”peace on earth, and goodwill to all”.

  2. I like the way you explore/invent poetic forms along with free verse. “Formally free” could be the term, perhaps.
