—————————————————-
wind hurls water
slaps the face of the Earth
like a errant, sullen bitch
in loose abandon
drenches wheels
drowns taxis
makes their faces blank, unknowing
with eyes blinded by a
waterfall’s rage
the streets are wet
with fury
and we
are wet with abandon
in the backseat of our own yellow stranger
carrying us in her belly
as we kiss
floods could come
Noah could come back from the dead
resurrected with drunken genius
to save us from this mess
with a custom, handcrafted ark
but we don’t care
we relax
we kiss
we forget the rain
