Writer’s Block is holding its First Draft Poetry Night on Friday, December 16 at 8:00 PM at Kafe Kerouac, 2250 N. High Street, Columbus, Ohio. Admission is $3. This is a night to read new poems only and is hosted by WB’s only Joanna Schroeder.
On tap that night is none other than (drumroll, please)………New Year, Nuku!
Now you’re probably asking: what in the holy HECK is New Year, Nuku!
It is all haiku. All NEW, NEVER PERFORMED BEFORE IN PUBLIC Haiku. An eight-poet, three-round haiku death match. And they are serious when they mean NEW Haiku only. Trust me…..you don’t want “old-ass ku” shouted at you from the audience.
Writing Wrongs will be holding their show on Tuesday, December 16. There will be an open mic and the feature for this show is Dave Nichols!

My fiance and I attended the finals for this year’s Rust Belt Poetry Slam last night.
