Most of you already know this by now, but I saw fit to announce it here. This will probably be my last post on RWP, ever.
Since late 2014, I have blogged at The Digital Hyperlexic. I did this for several reasons: a new focus, new material, and to begin a new chapter of my life.
I first started this blog in 2008 when I was still Nicole Nicholson. Why do I say “when I was still Nicole Nicholson?” It’s because in November 2014, I came out as transgender to my close friends and family. I came to understand that I am actually a man, and I have been slowly coming out to more people. At the end of May 2016, I made the difficult decision to leave my former job in order to continue my transition, both physically and legally. I am also in the process of transitioning to a new career path, and you’ll certainly see more of me out there.
I publish my poetry, CNF, and essays as N.I. Nicholson. But you may call me Nico or Ian.
Please go follow my blog, The Digital Hyperlexic, if you haven’t done so already. Know that I will leave Raven’s Wing Poetry up as a testament to my older work, prior to my MFA studies. I am working on a poetry collection, Time Travel in a Closet, and hope to see it published in 2017. Follow me at the new blog, on Twitter, or on my FB page for updates.
Blessings to you,
Mr. Nico Ian Nicholson
